‘Dexera Out-and-About’ promotes local businesses
in Sjöbo, Ystad and surrounding municipalities
What is ‘Dexera Out-and-About’?
‘Dexera Out-and-About’ is a series of videos in which we visit different businesses and entrepreneurs. The goal is to raise awareness and create curiosity about the different companies, help our viewers find new contacts and business opportunities and show the breadth and variety of businesses that exist in our area.
We go around Sjöbo, Ystad, Tomelilla, Simrishamn and other neighbouring municipalities and get an insight into the company’s everyday activities. We have a short conversation with a representative from the company who gets the opportunity to tell us about the business, its unique attributes and share expertise from their specialist field. New episodes are released regularly, first on our Facebook page, but also on our YouTube channel and LinkedIn page.

Would you like to take part? Or maybe tell us about a company that we should visit?
We think it’s great fun to visit these different enterprises, and we’d love to talk to more people who would like participate. We have gathered below a few questions about how it works and what it is involved in participating. Further below you may either give us a lead about an entrepreneur who should be interviewed, or register your own interest.
Frequently asked questions
How does the recording work in practice?
We aim to be at your premises for around an hour and a half. You show us around your business and tell us about it so that we can get an idea of which parts would be interesting to feature. We’ll decide on a suitable location for recording the interview itself, which takes about 20 minutes to film. After the interview, we go around the business again, and record clips showing interesting aspects of your business.
Can I see the video before it is posted?
Absolutely, before publication you will have the opportunity to watch the video and come with requests. Due to the fixed concept and the short duration we try to stick to, it is not always possible to accommodate all requests, but we will take all wishes into consideration.
When will my episode be published?
Usually we publish a batch of new episodes every couple of weeks. As soon as we know the date of your episode’s release, we can inform you about it.
What questions are being asked?
We always ask the same three questions or variations of them:
- What is your enterprise about?
- In what way is your enterprise unique compared to similar ones?
- What can you share from your expertise?
Before we film at your premises, we go through these questions together and adapt the wording to your particular business.
How long is an episode?
We aim for all episodes to be around two minutes. Sometimes we need to cut out some of what is said in the interview to get it down to two minutes.
How much does it cost to be involved?
Because we participate in the videos, we heavily subsidise them. We only charge a token amount to cover our direct costs such as travel expenses or advertising costs. At the moment this fee is 2500 SEK + VAT.
Can I have the video on our own website?
Absolutely! Since the video will be on Youtube, it is very easy for you to embed it on your own website.
Where will the video be published?
Nowadays, we publish the episodes on our Facebook page, LinkedIn page and YouTube channel. This means that your business will be searchable on YouTube as well. This can be of great benefit to you if you didn’t previously have a presence on the world’s largest video platform.
Is the video marketed in any way?
Yes! The video will be posted on Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. On Facebook, we will pay 500 SEK for additional distribution of the video for 7 days after the launch, with a coverage radius of about 50km around your business.
Can I edit the video myself?
As we are featured in the video ourselves, and it is shot largely at our expense, we reserve the right to edit. The video may only be used as it was published and in its entirety. If you would like a different solution, we can have a separate conversation about what options we can offer.
