Project Description

AYMN – mentoring network for Africa’s future leaders

The brief

The African Youth Mentorship Network (AYMN) Foundation approached us at the very beginning of their organisation’s journey to help them with creating a visual identity. Though they are a non-profit foundation, AYMN recognised the importance of investing in branding to build credibility with potential supporters of their cause. The identity was to be forward-looking, up-to-date, showing the progressive side of Africa. “It takes a village to raise a child“ reflects the large network involved in the undertaking across the continent of Africa.

The African Youth Mentorship Network (AYMN) Foundation aims to inspire, develop and empower African youth through education and mentorship programs. Their goal is to build emotionally intelligent, socially responsible and self-confident citizens.

Our approach

We began by helping AYMN clarify their brand values through a series of Skype meetings and digital discussions. This lead to the development of the logo, fonts and colours, which we delivered with a brand identity guideline document.

To help AYMN network with potential sponsors, we designed an info card for handing out, that would connect those receiving the card to the AYMN website. We built a mini-website, their digital home, providing more information as well as a chance to sign up to their newsletter for updates.

Next, AYMN joined a 10K walk in Geneva, raising awareness of AYMN with branded t-shirts, which we designed.

Dexera also took care of creating business cards, letterhead and a partnership brochure, to aid AYMN in their fundraising and sponsorship efforts.
